Who knew the fossils of crustaceans could be as important to winemakers as they could to scientists? The fossilization of these crustaceans is what gives the Limestone Coast’s soil such a great profile for vines. Their chalky soils produce fantastic red wines like the 2005 Burley Fox Shiraz. This wine’s elegant nose of white pepper, black cherry and spicy oak is a prelude to complex flavors of fresh berry fruit, vanillin and chocolate all ending in a rich, savory and smooth finish.

Try a real taste of history! The Giachi family has made fine wines in Tuscany since 1720 from its base in the ancient town of San Gimignano. Really good Chianti like this, from an excellent vintage, is one of the world’s most appetizing reds. Not heavy but packed with cherry and almond flavors that are spectacular with meat and pasta dishes.

California’s sunshine, mixed with rocky soils, have proved to be the perfect ingredients in making full-throttle, power house reds that have come to be known as ‘fruit bombs.’ Our Chateau Andrea Cabernet is such a wine. Grown in the hot vineyards of Paso Robles, the grapes grew to full maturity and ripeness and were crushed into an inky black wine with persistent notes of blackberry, black cherry and cassis. Full-bodied on the palate with a powerful tannic structure and a well integrated touch of oak, the Chateau Andrea proves why Cabernet Sauvignon is the perfect fit for California’s vineyards.

As well as handcrafting world-class wines, San Antonio is also an official ‘Cultural Historical Landmark.’ Run by a fifth generation winemaking family, it is now the only producing in Los Angeles. This classic American Chardonnay reveals aromas of vanilla, spice and oak with a rich and full palate of tropical fruit flavors along with ripe pear notes.
